What this opportunity involves:

We are seeking a Building Operations Manager to provide comprehensive facilities management services across assigned commercial and industrial properties, hard and soft building services management, and service contract and budget management.

You will become an expert in all systems and processes that support our Risk Management policies, working to make our buildings safer for tenants, visitors and contractors.

Please note this role is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

A snapshot of the role:

  • Maintain building presentation standards, including ensuring all items of plant and equipment in the assigned properties are maintained and operate correctly through close management of contractor services.
  • Ensure all health and safety risks are identified and appropriately managed.
  • Sustainability – have a thorough understanding of NABERS and Green Star rated buildings and be able to work with all stakeholders to meet sustainability objectives, including internal JLL sustainability teams.
  • Prepare specifications and preventative maintenance schedules for a rolling twelve-month plan to ensure all areas are maintained to the highest standards. Ensure that a monthly PPM system is maintained in a computerised format.
  • Undertake property condition inspections in conjunction with the Property Manager, including inspection of common areas and assessment of cleaning standards, on a regular basis.

This role is all about organisation and communication! Your ability to communicate with people at all levels combined with your passion for providing superior service to the client will make you an ideal candidate. You’ll be able to empathise with tenant needs and prioritise to meet strict deadlines.

  • Extensive experience in property / facilities / project management related fields.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of building technical services, especially HVAC, fire protection and electrical services.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of complex issues concurrently, within tight operational deadlines.
  • Goal oriented and focused on meeting performance targets.
