Role Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Services.
• Develop, test, and maintain robust ETL processes to facilitate data integration from various sources.
• Utilize SQL Server for database management and optimization.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Create detailed data models to support business intelligence applications.
• Build interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to visualize data effectively.
• Perform data quality checks and troubleshoot data-related issues.
• Work on data warehousing solutions to optimize data storage and retrieval.
• Implement data governance practices to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct performance tuning of SQL queries and data processes.
• Stay current with Azure innovations and integrate new features into existing systems.
• Participate in design and code reviews to ensure best practices are followed.
• Provide technical support and training for other team members on data tools and technologies.
• Document data processes and architectures for team reference.
• Contribute to establishing a data-driven culture within the organization.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on Azure technologies.
• Proficient in the use of Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with database management.
• Experience with Python or other programming languages for data processing.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Familiarity with big data frameworks such as Hadoop or Spark.
• Experience with data visualization tools, preferably Power BI.
• Solid understanding of data governance and security practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience in Agile project management methodologies.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Certification in Azure Data Engineering is a plus.
