Join a leading global consultancy as a Senior Azure Data Engineer, based in Dublin. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity to work on high-impact digital transformation projects for major clients across diverse industries.

About the Role

As a Principal Azure Cloud Consultant, you will lead the design, development, and delivery of advanced cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric. You’ll manage and mentor a team of developers, analysts, and data scientists, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to implement scalable, secure, and innovative digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team delivering cloud-native solutions using Azure and Microsoft Fabric
• Design and develop end-to-end data integration, automation, and analytics platforms
• Build data pipelines, integrate multiple data sources, and develop robust data models
• Implement data lakehouses, data warehouses, and analytics solutions in Azure
• Develop interactive dashboards and real-time analytics using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
• Automate deployment and monitoring processes with CI/CD pipelines
• Optimize and troubleshoot existing digital platforms for performance and cost efficiency
• Ensure solutions adhere to best practices in data governance, cybersecurity, and compliance
• Engage directly with clients, data engineers, and data scientists to deliver tailored solutions

Required Skills and Experience

• At least 5 years’ experience as an Azure Developer
• Proven expertise with Microsoft Fabric
• Hands-on experience in implementing data lakes, data lakehouses, and data warehouses
• Strong knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Functions, and Logic Apps
• Proficient in SQL and Python for data processing and scripting
• Deep understanding of cloud security, IAM, and data governance frameworks
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
• Strong problem-solving skills and Agile project experience
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

Desirable Qualifications

• Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate, Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer)
• Experience with AI/ML integration in Azure
• Familiarity with DataOps, MLOps,
