Title: AV Design Engineer / Post Sales Design Engineer
Duration: Full-time Employment
Location: Hybrid – Cedar Knolls, NJ (3 days onsite/week) + travel (70% tri state / 30 nationwide)
Compensation:
$90k to 110k + benefits
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Must Haves:
- Strong knowledge of AV design and integration standards
- Extensive AutoCAD & CAD drafting experience
- Ability to create detailed CAD drawings, schematics, and technical documentation and review others’ drawings
- Ability to prioritize and work effectively under pressure. And the ability to guide and mentor engineering staff and lead discussions around complex technical issues

Day to Day:
The position entails developing, assessing, and enhancing audio visual drawing packages to facilitate hardware installation. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with the project engineering team to ensure the timely and effective delivery of technical documents for production.
- Provide technical assistance and troubleshoot any issues related to AV systems post-purchase
- Creates, reviews, and improves audio visual drawing packages, including system wiring diagrams, rack elevations, power management, floor plan markups, and more.
- Supports hardware installation through detailed technical drawings and studies (e.g., site line, camera angle).
- Develops comprehensive documentation for AV equipment location, room elevations, cable and conduit riser diagrams, and room renderings.
- Design and implement tailored AV solutions based on customer requirements
- Conduct training sessions for the customer's team to ensure they understand and can effectively use the AV systems
- Work closely with the sales team to understand client needs and devise effective solutions
- Maintain detailed records of post-sale interactions, including issue resolution, product training, and follow-ups
