We’re looking for an estimator that loves to work with people whether customers or the technicians in the shop. The successful candidate will demonstrate amazing communication skills, a solid knowledge of repair processes and an interest in new technologies. Role Summary:
The Estimator is responsible for ensuring that all estimates for repair are accurate, fair and in accordance with work outlined by insurance company requirements. As the customer service front line, they also manage the communication with the customer regarding the repair process and costs.
Requirements
The Estimator is responsible for:
Interacting with customers and communicating their needs and requirements
Writing quality estimates by inspecting vehicles, costing parts, supplies and labor and determining time for completion of repairs
Provide expertise and recommendations to customers regarding their vehicle
Coordinating work processes with technicians and other necessary departments
Following automobile industry safety norms and standards
Perform informative and accurate walk around of all vehicles with customer and explain work performed
Delivery of excellent customer service at each customer touch point
Helpful and knowledgeable when communicating with customers
Providing customer with updates as per internal policies throughout repair process
Contributing positively to their work environment and working effectively with their team
To be successful in this role the candidate must have:
Strong automotive estimating skills required: CCC, Mitchell
DRP experience preferred
Proficiency in collision repair management systems
Multi-tasking abilities
Strong customer service and communication skills both verbal and in writing
Ability to prioritize time and work independently
Desire to work in a performance based environment
Applicants must be over 18 with driver’s license and have a clean driving record
Must pass background check for insurance requirements
Strong organizational skills
Very strong computer based skill set
Spanish speaking an asset
