What To Expect
This position covers the audio product development from architecture to vehicle integration. Specifically, it will take on audio technology innovation and adoption with the Audio team, audio electrical design and validation in EE team, and the vehicle integration effort with System SW and Audio DSP teams. It will also partake in diagnostic test implementation and data collections from the manufacturing environment and vehicle fleet.
What You'll Do
Drive audio electronics products (microphone, amplifier, etc.) from inception to end of lifeExplore new audio technologies, specifically, electrical architectureWork closely with audio architects to define and update audio features on the roadmapOwn electrical schematics and implementation on both electrical architecture and audio productsPlan, execute, interpret, and document validation testingWork with suppliers on design and testing of audio productsInterpret, document and manage product drawings and specificationsWork with other Tesla design teams on the integration of the Audio system componentsTesting of audio systems and components in Tesla vehiclesDrive component and system level troubleshooting
What You'll Bring
Bachelors in Engineering, or proof of exceptional skills in related field, with minimum 5 years of experience developing audio products from scratchDemonstrated technical depth in audio products (acoustics and electronics)Proven depth and breadth in analog and digital circuit analysisAbility to work closely with design, software, testing and manufacturing teamsDemonstrated experience working with cross functional team members from multiple disciplines to reach fact-based decisionsHave some previous Audio DSP, System Integration, Product Development, & CAD Design exposureStrong problem solving skills and desire to work in fast paced environmentExperience with environmental constraints (temp, humidity, and vibration), regulatory compliance and relative product debugTechnical and Product Management skills to communicate and drive internal teams and external suppliers

Expected Compensation
$100,160 - $225,840/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
