The role

GoHenry is seeking an Associate UX Researcher to support our Research & Insights team within our growing fintech environment. This person should have a solid foundation in UX research and a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic setting.

In this position, you will support user research projects that inform our product development and improve customer experience. This role will involve assisting in research activities under the guidance of the UX Research team.

The position will report into Acorns UX Research Manager and sits within the Global Research and Insights team, dedicated to bringing the customer voice into everything we do.

This role will work closely with the US Acorns team. You will be expected to have four (4) or more hours of overlap with Acorns' standard business hours (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday–Friday, Eastern Standard time).

Your key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Build relationships with the Research and Insights team and key stakeholders.
  • Familiarise yourself with insights from existing user research programmes.
  • Assist in preparing and conducting user research studies, conducting interviews, usability testing, and surveys.
  • Support user research projects, including participant recruitment, scheduling, and logistics.
  • Help synthesise research findings and contribute to reports and presentations.
  • Conduct moderated and unmoderated usability tests with guidance.
  • Take on increasing responsibilities in research synthesis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product and Design, to share research insights
  • Independently run smaller-scale research studies from planning to reporting.
  • Proactively identify areas where user research can add value.
  • Develop deeper expertise in research methodologies and best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of research processes and team efficiencies.

What we're looking for:

  • 1-2 years of experience in user research, market research, or a related field.
  • BS or BA in Psychology with HCI Focus is an added bonus
  • Understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Interest or experience in research with parents and children is a plus.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfort with research tools and willingness to learn new ones.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
