Manage the implementation, and progress of ethical sourcing program in Asia, report to higher level when necessary, coordinate or help team members to coordinate issues among stakeholders, including US team, vendors and buyers and escalate if necessary;
Manage the implementation, progress and status of 3rd party retail audit program, report to higher level when necessary, coordinate or help team members to coordinate issues among stakeholders, including US team, audit firms, vendors and buyers and escalate if necessary.
Keep monitoring and lead to implement the necessary improvements for managed programs;
Any other task assigned by direct/indirect report line related to programs and team management/operation
Team management including but not limited to:
Workload and progress management;
Daily operation management such as approval for leave, travel application and review of reimbursement
Bonus formula review and evaluation;
Goal setting, review and performance management;
Member development, IDP & Skill matrix;
Orientation Program and other work in accordance with company’s requirement;
Response to team members’ questions;
Necessary support, instruction, guidance and training for team members;
Help team members to coordinate for resources or escalate if necessary;
Regular communication with team members;
Address with team members if any issue occur and work with team member to develop improvement plan
Participate to design the long-term competence model, career development path and plan for positions in the team
Participate into the building and development of auditor team to satisfy both programs and staff development such as:
Participate in planning for necessary man-power, organization structure and career development route;
Support team members’ individual development;
Communicate with stakeholders related to other job responsibilities, when necessary, including but not limited to the following:
Timely update and share of information, including escalation;
Reply to stakeholders’ inquiries, discuss and address concern if any;
Coordinate with stakeholders’ actions if applicable; Requirement
Willing to travel up to 30% of the time for business purposes.
Solid and comprehensive knowledge and understanding about the issues and applicable requirements in local social compliance audits and relevant industries, including but not limited to Health & Safety, Labor and Environmental;
Ability and experience to perform ethical sourcing audits in vendors and issue reports in high quality and work with suppliers to develop & implement feasible and reasonable corrective action plan;
Ability and experience to program/project management, decision making and problem solving;
Ability and experience to people/team management for a diversified team, including conflict conservation;
Profound knowledge and understanding about social compliance industries and supply chain management;
Familiar with the requirements and procedures of major social compliance audits and retail brands, such as SEDEX, BSCI, SA8000, WRAP, Wal-Mart, CVS, Walgreens and etc.
Fluent verbal/written communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese;
