Position Overview

The Pastry Chef will be a crucial founding team member responsible for driving operational standards,

managing cloud kitchen processes, and ensuring consistent quality. The ideal candidate will bring

operational discipline, a strong commitment to standards, and a proactive approach to problem-

solving.


Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Management:

• Establish and maintain rigorous Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

• Ensure consistent product quality, portion consistency, and aesthetic presentation

• Follow food safety standards and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

• Manage inventory, order supplies, and control costs to avoid wastage.

• Assist with planning menus and marketing initiatives


2. Process Optimization:

• Continuously improve kitchen workflows and inventory management

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and equipment maintenance

• Check and ensure all equipment are in good working order

• Continuously improve training manuals and SOPs


3. Team Supervision:

• Train and mentor kitchen staff and ensure they meet quality standards

• Train team members on equipment usage and safety protocols

• Ensure personal hygiene and clean uniforms

• Maintain proper sanitation of workstations and tools


4. Comprehensive Ownership:

• Take end-to-end responsibility for kitchen operations

• Complete tasks outside kitchen areas when requested

• Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges

• Learn and adapt to changes quickly and be receptive to constructive feedback

• Maintain disciplined work practices


Requirements

• High School graduate

• Technical education in hospitality or culinary school preferred (or) at least 2 years of basic

knowledge and experience in pastry making.

• Completed at least a minimal pastry-making course.

• Knowledge of ice cream making will be an added benefit.

• 2-3 years total work experience, with 6-12 months in pastry/bakery department.

• Possess a valid health certificate

• Knowledgeable in HACCP principles

• Strong understanding of kitchen operations and quality management

• Proven ability to take ownership and solve operational challenges

• Willingness to learn specialized ice cream production techniques

• Good command of English (verbal and written communication)
