What you'll do:


Planning and Review:

  • Collaborate with the Sr. Manager to develop and finalize the annual and Quarterly audit plan.
  • Identify and incorporate new methods, techniques, and tools into the audit planning and execution process.
  • Supervise the team in conducting operational and functional audits and finalize the resulting reports.


Audit Execution & Reporting:

  • Conduct audits in accordance with the internal audit plan, adhering to best practices, internal audit methodology, and appropriate audit techniques.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing planning memorandums and preliminary scopes for assigned audits.
  • Perform audit fieldwork competently and professionally, maintaining high-quality work.
  • Prepare and maintain audit working papers, documenting sufficient evidence for reported findings.
  • Identify process and control gaps, as well as opportunities to enhance efficiency.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and actionable audit reports with factual findings and explanations suitable for senior management.
  • Develop specific recommendations for process improvements within the audited areas.
  • Assist the Line Manager in preparing presentations for the Audit Committee, business units, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Support execution of ad-hoc projects and reviews as assigned by the Line Manager
  • Support the Line Manager in preparing quarterly progress reports on planned audits and the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Lead the team in conducting warehouse, hub, and dark store audits adhering to established audit checklists.
  • Monitor the implementation of audit action plans within agreed timeframes to address identified risks and improve business efficiencies.
  • Quantify the value at stake or potential improvements identified during audits (where applicable).
  • Uphold high professional standards in all aspects of audit execution, working papers, and overall approach.
  • Leverage data analytics tools to gain insights and provide valuable information to the business.


Miscellaneous:

  • Champion the use of appropriate audit technology tools to deliver high-level assurance efficiently.
  • Benchmark best industry practices and continuously improve internal audit methodologies.
  • Offer independent analysis to support decision-making, policy development, and cost rationalization efforts.
  • Collaborate on business improvement projects as needed.
  • Support the Line Manager with various reporting activities.


What you'll need:


  • University graduate in Accounting / Finance or related professional qualification with a minimum of 6 to 8 years of post-qualification experience in the auditing field with a minimum of 1-2 years of team lead experience.
  • A CIA, CPA, CA, ACCA or other equivalent qualification/ certification would be preferable.
  • Arabic Speaker preferred.
  • Must possess sound Finance and Accounting knowledge from a broad range of businesses, especially in the e-commerce and retail industry.
  • Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in understanding internal audit concepts and risk assessment exercises.
  • Preferred background of a Big 4 / Retail/ e-commerce Industry.
  • Expertise in Digital Acceleration focusing on digitizing skills in technology such as automation, machine learning, design thinking, and digital storytelling.
  • Knowledge of systems commonly utilized within e-commerce and/or retail environments.
  • Knowledge of SQL programming language, TeamMate+, Big Query, Power BI, Power Query preferred.
  • Expertise in finding observations helping management to identify areas of cost saving, revenue leakages, fraud or corrupt practices etc.
  • Strong critical thinking with an ability to define problems and propose solutions. Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and within established timeframes.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to write comprehensive technical reports in a clear and concise manner.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships both internally and externally.
  • Open to travel for work (~25%-30% of time).
