Reporting to the Director and Head of Technology of the company, your new role will:

• Be the leader of the team in a group level to formulate and implement a data and analytics vision that supports strategic and tactical business opportunities across all regions. This includes creating and managing data and analytics strategies, establishing data governance processes, and driving the transformation of the data foundation to achieve measurable business outcomes.
• Oversee the development of data modeling and AI products, ensuring the adoption and exploitation of AI capabilities. Lead and manage the company’s data-driven innovation and analytics initiatives, focusing on accelerating digital business transformation and delivering value-oriented outcomes that align with the company’s strategic objectives.
• Develop the partnership with executive and business stakeholders to identify and prioritize their needs, focusing on business outcomes and enabling functions to maximize the value derived from data and AI capabilities, ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Create and oversee a centralized data governance and management service for group-level consistency, and decentralized data stewardship for business-level agility. Ensure data quality, traceability, timeliness, usability, and cost-effectiveness across the company, supporting both strategic and operational needs
• Establish and maintain trust in data assets by instituting governance mechanisms for data and algorithms used in reporting, analysis, and automated decision-making.
• Establish, monitor, and take appropriate action on key performance metrics and objectives to ensure the successful delivery of data and AI initiatives. Track regulatory compliance and data ethics, ensuring adherence to laws and standards across regions, to mitigate risks and enhance trust
• Foster a data-driven culture by developing and nurturing data and analytics talent. Lead transformation efforts to mature the company’s data and analytics capabilities, promoting data literacy, continuous improvement, and innovation within the team to ensure long-term success and adaptability

What you'll need to succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 12 years of relevant experience, including 6 years of experience in data domains, such as BI analytics, data product, data science and modeling, and data architecture. Background from Retail, luxury, FMCG/Consumer Goods, or Banking industry is preferred
• Proven track record in progressive leadership experience in cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide data and analytics programs
• Strong interpersonal skills and business acumen including the ability to communicate effectively with executive and business stakeholders, and drive business transformation through data-driven insights and data literacy development across the company
• Proficiency in strategic business and technology planning. Expertise in leading regulatory and compliance programs related to data and analytics methodologies
• Experience in integrating complex, cross-corporate processes and information strategies, and designing strategic metrics and scorecards
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities, with familiarity in business information generation and analysis methods. Ability to frame new concepts for future products and services needs
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua
• Candidates with more experience will be considered as General Manager, Data and AI
