To maintain a competitive advantage as we grow, we are currently looking for a new "Assets & Configuration Manager".

Job purpose:

The Asset and Configuration Manager is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle management of IT assets and configurations within the organization. This role ensures that both assets and configurations are accurately tracked, maintained, and utilized efficiently, aligning with regulators (SAMA) and ITIL v4 best practices. The position is critical for optimizing asset performance and configuration integrity to enhance the overall service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead Asset and Configuration Lifecycle Management: Oversee the management of IT assets and configurations from acquisition to disposal, ensuring compliance with ITIL guidelines.
• Maintain Accurate Asset and Configuration Inventory: Ensure comprehensive tracking and reporting of all IT assets and configurations throughout their lifecycle.
• Cost Optimization: Analyze asset and configuration usage to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
• Policy Development: Develop and maintain asset and configuration management policies and procedures in line with ITIL best practices.
• Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to align asset and configuration management strategies with organizational objectives.
• Reporting and Analysis: Provide insights through regular reporting on asset and configuration performance and compliance.
• Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions on asset and configuration management best practices for staff.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in IT service management and IT asset management or related fields.
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• ITIL v4 certification.
• Knowledge of asset and configuration management tools/software (e.g., Jira, CMDB).
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
