We are hiring a Application Support Specialist for our client, Deutsche Bank. In this role, you will work as part of an international team responsible for ensuring the stability and performance of large-scale, business-critical applications. You will be involved in technical support and operational activities across the production environment, using Unix, SQL, and scripting to analyze issues, implement fixes, and prevent future incidents.

What you will do:

• Provide operational support for banking applications in production
• Investigate incidents and perform root cause analysis
• Run queries and perform data checks in Oracle databases
• Use shell scripting or other tools (e.g., Bash, Python) to automate tasks and improve efficiency
• Participate in deployments and environment readiness checks
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and monitoring teams
• Follow ITIL-based processes: Incident, Change, and Problem Management

What we’re looking for:

• Hands-on experience working in Unix environments (RedHat or similar)
• Good SQL skills and experience working with Oracle databases
• Experience writing or understanding shell scripts
• Familiarity with ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA, Remedy)
• Understanding of support processes and good troubleshooting mindset
• Experience in application support, system engineering, or similar roles

Nice to have:

• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus)
• Basic knowledge of ITIL processes or certifications
• Exposure to cloud-based infrastructure is a plus
