Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Application Support Engineer to join our team in HOUSTON, Texas. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the supply chain management and information technology industry. As an Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for managing SAP Master Data, maintaining Bill of Materials (BoM), and creating and sustaining documentation in an MRP/SAP Environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain SAP Master Data meticulously
• Handle and update Bill of Materials (BoM) efficiently
• Create and sustain documentation in an MRP/SAP Environment
• Understand and apply procurement processes and methodologies
• Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of materials management and inventory management processes, systems, and methodologies such as MRP, Planning and Reorder Points
• Analyze large data sets, identify patterns, and draw meaningful conclusions
• Maintain accurate customer credit records
• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently
• Monitor customer accounts and engage in appropriate action
• Resolve customer inquiries promptly and effectively.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a related field
• Proficiency in Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Extensive knowledge of SAP Master Data Governance
• Experience in managing Customer Master Data
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
• Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with both technical and non-technical staff
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Strong team player with a commitment to achieving team goals
• Must be customer service oriented and believe in teamwork, collaboration, adaptability, and initiative.
