We are seeking for a proactive and detail-oriented Support Engineer with strong skills in Java and Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) to join our 24x7 support team for a critical Master Data Management (MDM) application. The ideal candidate will be responsible for resolving incidents, performing root cause analysis, and ensuring the uptime and performance of the MDM platform.

Primary Skills/Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L2/L3 application support for MDM systems in a 24x7 rotational shift model.
• Monitor application health and perform regular checks using predefined scripts and tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Java-based services, APIs, and integrations.
• Perform SQL queries, data analysis, and debugging in MSSQL to support incident resolution.
• Work closely with L1 teams, developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders.
• Manage tickets using ITSM tools like ServiceNow, JIRA, or similar.
• Document known issues, SOPs, and maintain a knowledge base for recurring incidents.
• Support patching, version upgrades, and configuration management.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in Java (Core + web services).
• Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries in MSSQL.
• Familiarity with MDM platforms (Informatica MDM, Reltio, IBM MDM, etc. is a plus).
• Basic knowledge of Linux scripting for log analysis and troubleshooting.
• Experience in application monitoring tools (e.g., New relic, AppDynamics, Splunk, Dynatrace).
• Understanding of ITIL practices – especially Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in MDM data model, match & merge rules, survivorship logic.
• Automation scripting experience (Python, Shell, PowerShell) is a plus.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
