The Cargolux Ground Engineering Department provides engineering support in the field of Ground Operations to the global network of Cargolux. This expert team has versatile responsibilities, going from organizing special cargo uplifts (e.g. satellite transportation, urgently required project cargo, prototype transportation, MRI machines), over to leading and assisting various innovation and digitalization projects.

Main responsibilities:
Support Global Logistics digitalization initiatives
Provide general analytical support to solve problems and to substantiate decision taking in the field of Global Logistics
Gather, process and interpret data within the framework of Global Logistics and Ground Engineering
Contribute to process improvements by translating analytical results into practical implementation for the setup of processes, including definition of KPIs
Coordinate with other divisions (e.g. Aviation Safety, Cybersecurity) where Global Logistics processes are involved
Provide support for further development of IT solutions (e.g. DimsChecker, Weight & Balance) and align between involved inter-divisional stakeholders (IT, Sales, Commercial Planning, Operations)
Contribute to creating Global Logistics risk assessments and required Management of Change (MOC) documentation
Work in inter-divisional projects while representing Global Logistics / Ground Engineering
Support integration of new aircraft types into the fleet from Global Logistics side (including processes and procedures)
Essential Requirements For The Position:
Master’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering; Transport, Infrastructure & Logistics, or another similar relevant field
Passion for cargo in aviation
Ability for analytical thinking and translation into algorithms
Good computer proficiency, including a programming language
Experience in data analytics
Structural way of working to support a project management approach
Strong communication and social skills applicable across cultural boundaries
Dealing effectively with complexity and having good problem-solving skills
Be proactive, safety- and quality-oriented, take initiatives in a dynamic organization
Feeling comfortable to work in a team as well as autonomously
Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory, other languages are considered as an advantage
Working Conditions:
Full-time position based in Luxembourg
Occasional travel might be required
Occasionally flexible with working hours
A certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of positive selection.
