Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Agile Delivery Manager to lead and drive the successful delivery of projects, working with Scrum and Kanban teams. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring our teams are self-organizing, delivering high-quality software solutions, and meeting both business and technical objectives. As an Agile Delivery Manager at SAQAYA, you will help optimize our delivery processes, foster a collaborative culture, and drive continuous improvement across our projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead & Manage Delivery Teams: Oversee one or more teams, ensuring they work efficiently, collaborate effectively, and deliver high-quality outcomes using Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
• Agile Process Advocacy: Champion Agile principles across teams, facilitating the adoption of best practices and empowering teams to become self-organizing and continuously improve.
• Coaching & Mentoring: Provide guidance, support, and coaching to teams, helping them achieve their goals and refine their delivery processes for greater efficiency and quality.
• Project Planning & Coordination: Manage business and technical changes, ensuring smooth transitions, and aligning project deliveries with business objectives.
• Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify and resolve potential risks, issues, and dependencies to minimize their impact on product delivery, ensuring successful project completion.
• Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure transparency in project progress, expectations, and challenges, maintaining a strong focus on delivering value.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven Leadership: Experience managing software delivery across multiple teams, ensuring high standards of delivery.
• Agile Expertise: Hands-on experience with Scrum and Kanban in an Agile environment, with a deep understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Continuous Delivery: Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) practices and tools.
• Results-Oriented: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations while keeping a focus on results.
• Risk Management: Ability to analyze potential risks and make informed decisions to mitigate issues, ensuring smooth project execution.
• Performance Management: Expertise in assessing team performance, reviewing goals, and adjusting strategies to meet deadlines and maintain a sustainable pace.
• Agile Tools: Proficiency in using Agile project management tools, especially JIRA, to track progress and manage project timelines effectively.
• Certification: Professional Scrum Master certification (PSM) or equivalent.
• Educational Background: Degree in IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Language Skills: Business-level proficiency in English (both written and verbal).

Desired Skills & Experience

• Shipping Data & Benchmark Systems: Familiarity with index benchmark systems and their application in shipping markets.
• Agile Scaling: Experience with scaling Agile practices, particularly with frameworks like SaFe or LeSS.
• Project Management Methodologies: Understanding of traditional project management frameworks such as PRINCE2 and PMP.
• Service & Change Management: Knowledge of IT service management and change management practices (e.g., ITIL).
• JIRA Configuration: Experience in configuring JIRA to support Agile development workflows.
• Manual QA Expertise: Practical knowledge in manual quality assurance processes and testing methodologies.
