Addison Group is working with a globally respected professional services firm known for delivering high-impact consulting solutions. Their San Francisco office is seeking a skilled Administrative and Facilities Manager to lead an administrative team while ensuring smooth day-to-day office functionality.
Job Description:
This full-time, permanent role requires a leader who is hands-on, strategic, and passionate about team development and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have experience managing administrative staff, overseeing facilities or office operations, and navigating performance management with professionalism and empathy.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coach a team of 6–8 administrative professionals across multiple offices
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align admin support with business objectives
Conduct training, onboarding, and ongoing development of team members
Handle performance management, including delivering feedback and supporting improvement plans
Manage daily office operations including space planning, vendor coordination, and upkeep
Lead or support office projects such as renovations, layout changes, or relocations
Step in to provide backup administrative support when needed (travel booking, calendaring, expenses)
Qualifications:
5–7 years of experience in administrative or office operations roles
At least 2–3 years of experience managing admin teams
Professional services experience preferred (consulting, legal, or similar environments)
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; CRM experience a plus
Strong communication and leadership skills
Experience managing performance and delivering constructive feedback
Ability to work across time zones and handle occasional travel (1–2x/year to Chicago)
Additional Details:
Reports to: Director of Administration & Facilities
Will manage admins in San Francisco, Chicago, and Sydney
Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in-office during the first year, then 2 days in-office thereafter
Business casual/professional dress code
