What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with our Lease Accountant and Property Accounting team to process rental payments
  • Dive into account reconciliations and help keep our financial operations smooth and accurate
  • Play a key role in supporting property accounting workflows
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Asset Management, Property Management, and other internal teams

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Process monthly rental and other payments from tenants and managing payment records
  • Work with tenants to resolve discrepancies and outstanding balances
  • Maintain accounts receivable analysis reports as directed by the Manager
  • Support the analysis and reconciliation of rent payments and preparation of tenant invoices
  • Regularly review accounts for past due balances and escalate as necessary
  • Help prepare quarterly and annual statements related to common area maintenance, real estate taxes, and other costs
  • Assist with other administrative tasks related to accounts receivable

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field (or expected graduation in 2025), or equivalent work experience
  • 0-2 years of experience in accounts receivable, property accounting, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of financial accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Positive attitude, self-starter, and eagerness to learn
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Exposure to retail real estate or property management is a plus
  • Familiarity with MRI or other real estate accounting software is a plus

Compensation: This is a non-exempt position with an hourly wage range of $28.85 – $36.06, which is approximately $60,000 – $75,000 annually, based on a standard full-time schedule. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications
