Overview:

We are partnering with a rapidly growing client in the food and beverage industry to hire a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and maintaining strong vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have strong 3-way matching experience, general ledger knowledge, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

• Perform full-cycle accounts payable functions, including matching purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices (3-way match).
• Accurately code invoices to appropriate general ledger accounts and cost centers.
• Ensure timely invoice entry and processing to meet payment deadlines.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with vendors to resolve discrepancies and manage inquiries.
• Assist with weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
• Maintain vendor records and assist with new vendor setup and compliance documentation.
• Support month-end close by preparing AP accruals and reports.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure purchase order accuracy and invoice approval.
• Assist with Expense reports in Concur.
• Assist with audits and provide requested documentation as needed.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
• Experience with 3-way matching and PO-based invoice processing.
• Strong understanding of general ledger coding and accounting principles.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; ERP system experience is a plus.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, growing environment.
