Position Summary:
Responsible for overseeing daily operations and functions of the Accounts Payable Team, ensuring conformance with the organization's policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations. Manages the Accounting team in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of Accounting/Financial data in accordance with GAAP. This position ensures the performance of all duties in accordance with the company's policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.
Responsibilities:
* Manages the Accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP by overseeing the Accounts Payable function which includes supplier records, supplier invoice approvals, reconciliations, and payments.
* Evaluates and makes appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes and controls; develops and improves internal controls and related policies, guidelines, and procedures.
* Develops and maintains all necessary accounting policies and systems, including general ledger and financial reporting, ensuring that records are maintained in accordance with GAAP.
* Manages and coordinates month-end closing procedures, and related accounting reporting needs.
* Develops and maintains strong working relationships with the business for effective communication and collaboration.
* Owners of the Travel and Expense Policy and P-Card updates for processes. Oversees and manages corporate card program(s) for the business.
* Ensures accuracy of the accounts payable functions, including supplier records, invoice processing, disbursements, 1099's and unclaimed property.
* Collaborates with business analysts for accounts payable automation. Demonstrate technical expertise on all accounts payable automated systems.
* Maintains monthly budget for all payment disbursements.
* Implements process improvements within the Accounts Payable scope to ensure invoices are paid timely and according to the policies set forward.
* Establishes team goals and employee goals to ensure they are reaching their highest potential to expand their careers as desired.
* Leads and directs the work of others; constructs a highly qualified and effective team capable of providing optimum staff support. Provides leadership to the team in organizing, planning and executing process improvements from conceptualization through implementation; working effectively across organizational lines ensuring strong communication and coordination.
* Ensures the accuracy, integrity, and effectiveness of financial records and internal controls. Directs the implementation of internal controls ensuring compliance, including developing and maintaining of accounting policies and procedures.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred, and/or minimum of eight (8) + years' equivalent work experience
* Minimum five (5) + years of management experience preferred
* Experience in the Mortgage industry preferred
* Experience with Workday Financial Systems preferred

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay for this roles is between $94,000 and $129,000. Your base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors, including your job-related knowledge/skills, qualifications, experience, and market location.
