Role Description

This is a full-time role for an Accountant based in Gurugram. We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Accounts Executive to join our finance team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of our order processing and revenue recognition through detailed order-wise reconciliations. You will also play a key role in managing our accounts receivable by diligently following up on unpaid orders and outstanding balances. Furthermore, you will be responsible for preparing insightful Management Information Systems (MIS) reports on revenue and Profit & Loss (P&L), providing valuable insights to the management team. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Order-wise Reconciliation: Perform detailed reconciliation of sales orders with corresponding invoices and payment receipts to ensure accuracy and completeness of revenue data. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies identified during the reconciliation process.
• Follow-up on Unpaid Orders: Proactively monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices and unpaid orders through effective communication with customers and internal teams. Maintain accurate records of collection efforts and escalate overdue accounts as necessary.
• Preparation of Revenue MIS: Compile and analyze revenue data to prepare regular and ad-hoc MIS reports, providing insights into sales performance, trends, and key performance indicators.
• Preparation of P&L MIS: Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and related MIS reports, highlighting key variances and providing explanations for financial performance.
• Management of Outstandings: Track and monitor all outstanding balances, including accounts receivable and other receivables. Implement and maintain effective processes for managing and reducing outstanding amounts.
• Communication and Coordination: Liaise effectively with internal teams (e.g., Sales, Operations) and external stakeholders (e.g., customers) to resolve reconciliation issues, facilitate collections, and provide necessary financial information.
• Documentation and Record-keeping: Maintain accurate and organized records of all reconciliations, collection activities, and financial reports. Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in order reconciliation, collections, and reporting to enhance efficiency and accuracy. 
• Ad-hoc Tasks: Assist with other accounting and finance-related tasks as assigned by the management.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounts role, with specific experience in order reconciliation and collections preferred. Someone who has worked with D2C brand will be preferred.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, including the ability to work with complex formulas and large datasets.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems is desirable.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
