Job Summary:

As Account Technology Specialist in NetApp's Sales function, you will be responsible for providing pre-sales and sales support for selling NetApp's Products and Professional Services to existing and potential customers.

You will utilize your excellent technical and relationship building skills in working with vendors, Alliances, partners and sales to ensure that optimum systems and solutions are provided to customers.

In this position your overall focus areas will be in supporting and developing processes and systems for quick and thorough responses to customer RFP's, provide systems configuration recommendations, and apply your background and experience to deliver solutions to technical problems.

The essential responsibilities of the Account Technology Specialist are to work directly with customers in pre-sales and sales situations, and to work effectively across functions with other NetApp employees in Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Development areas.


Requirements:

  • Identify customer needs and requirements.
  • Define all of the elements of a customer's technical computing environment
  • Architecting or operating infrastructure and data management solutions for enterprise applications.
  • Building on-premise or hybrid clouds environments.
  • Storage, Data Protection and Data Management experience.
  • Understand Cloud Service Providers – and how to leverage them for business outcomes.
  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence, Dev Ops, Virtualization and/or IT environment orchestration would be a plus.
  • Fluent in Italian and English.

Skill Requirements:

  • Understand the challenges our customers face and craft technology solutions to address them.
  • Use excellent communication skills to articulate the benefits of NetApp in presentations, demonstrations, and dialog with customers and our partners.
  • Create designs/architectures for the solutions that your customers need – oftentimes combining NetApp products with those of our technology alliance partners.
  • Help customers prove or test technology solutions in their environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners and Alliances at various levels.
  • Be able to manage a tender, identify the correct solutions and prepare the technical documentation
  • Familiarity with on-prem and cloud deployments, including the challenges and opportunities associated with each.
  • Be independent and able to move autonomously on customers and prospects
  • Be curious about new technologies, have the desire to learn and get always involved
