Job Title: AR Executive – Medical Billing
Location: Mumbai, pune , hydrabad, noida, banglore
Department: Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)
Reports to: AR Team Lead / Manager

Job Summary:
The AR Executive is responsible for managing accounts receivable for healthcare providers. This includes following up on unpaid claims, resolving denials, verifying payment status, and ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement from insurance companies and patients.

Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze unpaid or denied medical claims.

Contact insurance companies via phone, email, or portal to follow up on pending claims.

Identify and resolve billing issues and payment discrepancies.

Process appeals and re-submit corrected claims when necessary.

Update patient accounts with relevant payment and collection details.

Work collaboratively with the coding, charge entry, and payment posting teams.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare billing regulations.

Generate AR aging reports and maintain documentation of all follow-up activities.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (preferred, not always mandatory).

0- 3 years of experience in US healthcare medical billing (AR follow-up).

Strong knowledge of insurance guidelines (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payers).

Proficiency in medical billing software and MS Excel.

Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Skills:
Analytical thinking and problem-solving

Attention to denials and rejection

Time management and organizational skills

Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes is a plus

core knowledge of RCM industry
