Account Executive – Total Expo

Total Expo is seeking a strategic and results-driven Account Executive to join our team. This role focuses on new business development, cultivating client relationships, and ensuring successful event execution. Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Identify and secure new opportunities to drive annual revenue growth of 15–20%.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a strong pipeline through research, networking, and industry events.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and submit detailed proposals for trade shows and related events.
  • Client Engagement: Attend trade shows, site visits, and networking events to foster relationships and uncover new business.
  • Team Collaboration: Work cross-functionally to align project planning, execution, and profitability.
  • Event Oversight: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of events, ensuring all aspects run smoothly from start to finish.
  • Production Planning: Oversee labor scheduling, rentals, logistics, and other production elements.
  • Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring satisfaction and resolving issues proactively.
  • On-Site Supervision: Manage event logistics on-site and uphold client expectations.
  • Pre-Show Coordination: Lead meetings to align teams and ensure timelines are met.
  • Budget Oversight: Monitor budgets, control costs, and ensure timely invoicing.
  • Internal Partnership: Collaborate with Project Managers, Production, and Operations to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Communication: Maintain clear, consistent communication with clients and team members.
  • Project Review: Ensure all project details and cost estimates are accurate and aligned with client goals.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving.
  • Effective multitasking and communication abilities.
  • Proven sales experience, ideally in the trade show or events industry.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in sales, business development, or project management within the events/trade show industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
  • Background in event production and an established industry network.
  • Experience with large-scale project management.
  • Awareness of industry trends and market dynamics.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, sitting, and walking.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
