Summary

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Promotes quality by maintaining operating condition of building and equipment, completing repairs. 2. Installs, maintains, repairs, and adjusts a variety of electrical equipment such as motors, lighting circuits, fixtures, switches, controls and secondary process equipment. Diagnose and correct difficulties to minimize production interruptions. 3. Maintains and installs piping, fittings, valves, gauges, traps and all types of controls for high- and low-pressure hydraulic systems and air lines. 4. Lubricates machines, equipment and performs other plant maintenance work as required. 5. Review and maintain proper supply inventories and preparing supplies. 6. Checks and records oil level, clamp pressure, oil temperature, system pressure. 7. Vacuum oil from tops of machines and oil catch trays. 8. Keep complete and up-to-date records of repairs and items used for the repairs. 9. Troubleshoots problems that effect production and takes corrective action 10. Follows all safety, housekeeping and company polices and procedures. 11. Promotes guest relations; anticipates and responds to needs of others; provides assistance in a courteous, quick manner; treats others with care and respect, maintaining privacy and confidentiality. Additional Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Performs all other duties as assigned or required. 2. Installs new machinery when needed. 3. Work overtime as required on short notice at times. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 1. Strong knowledge of electrical, AC and DC voltages and have working knowledge of circuits. 2. Possess mechanical and hydraulics background. 3. Skilled knowledge with working on manual Bridgeport and lathes. 4. Good welding abilities. 5. Ability to lead and communicate. 6. Ability to organize work and priorities to meet deadlines. 7. Ability to read schematics. 8. Ability to troubleshoot. Have analytical skills and a have methodological disciplined approach to problems solving issues. Working Conditions: 1. Shop environment with exposure to loud noises from shop machines. 2. Extended hours are commonly required beyond the regular eight-hour workday. 3. Must wear proper protective equipment while on the shop floor. 4. Frequently lifting and moving items. Work requires walking and standing approximately ninety percent. Frequently required to reach with hands and arm; climb or balance, stoop, kneel or crouch. 5. Exposed to hot and humid conditions during warm months. Minimum Level of Preparation and Training: Four year apprenticeship program or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
