Once you have your header appropriately structured, move on to the introduction paragraph. This is a quick paragraph that’s only one or two sentences long that should capture the reader’s attention.

When choosing accomplishments to include in these bullet points, ask yourself these questions:
Why you. Which of your achievements have provided you with the best experience to make you effective in this role? Do you have prior experience overseeing the medical departments this new role will closely work with? What other skills make you the perfect fit for this opening? Including bullets that show a hiring manager you have the specific skills they are looking for can make you an ideal candidate.
Why here. What is it about this particular company that makes you want to work there? Perhaps it’s the company’s mission statement or the type of work they do. Whatever it is, choosing achievements that tie your experience to the reasons you want to work at this specific company is a great option.
Why now. Consider where you are at in your career and determine how this role works with your career goals. Choosing achievements that show your career trajectory and how this role will fit in with your long-term plans shows you are dedicated to the work, the role, and the company.

How to write a cover letter closing
You aren’t quite finished after you write the body of your cover letter. Before signing off on the document, you’ll first need to close the cover letter with a powerful last paragraph. Just like you did with the introduction, keep this paragraph short. Tie your experience to the job, be grateful, and ask for the interview at the end.
Tie your experience to the job. Remind the hiring manager why your experience fits well with this position: “I’m confident that my experience in obstetrics and gynecology will benefit [company name]’s goal of providing exceptional care to women.”
