Infosec Institute partners with Career.io to help students launch successful careers in cybersecurity
Immersive boot camps provide in-depth training and support to help individuals transform their careers in six months.
Mason, Ohio — July 31, 2024 — Infosec Institute, a leading cybersecurity education provider, today announced a strategic partnership with Career.io, a worldwide leader of professional career-development products and services, to provide comprehensive career services to students enrolled in Infosec's Immersive Boot Camps. These in-depth, immersive programs equip students with the skills required to perform an entry-level cybersecurity job — and the support they need to successfully transition into a new career.
Through this collaboration, students who enroll in a Cybersecurity Foundations Immersive Boot Camp will receive 30-day access to premium career services provided by Career.io, including AI-assisted resume and cover letter tools, a salary analyzer and a job tracker. Students will also receive a professional resume rewrite, LinkedIn makeover and expert interview prep session through Career.io’s sister company TopResume.

Employers are embracing the trend of hiring people without technical backgrounds for cybersecurity positions. According to ISC2, four out of 10 new cybersecurity employees come from a non-IT background, and more than half of hiring managers report modifying hiring practices to appeal to candidates with no prior cybersecurity experience.
