Summary

Systems Programmer Analyst

MUST HAVE

  • MUST HAVE: Experience with zOS SYSPLEX management, catalog management, ISPF, z/OS, Unix System Services, RACF, JES parameters, SYS1.PARMLIB, SYS1.PROCLIB members.
  • Mainframe zOS systems software programming experience and expertise.
  • Understanding of FICON/ESCON connectivity, DASD architecture, cryptographic coprocessors, data encryption techniques, and virtual tape libraries.
  • Experience with couple dataset definition and coupling facilities.
  • Skills in dataset/storage/disk/tape management including allocation, backup, restore, and management of storage constructs.
  • Problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Deep knowledge of zOS and JES System Programming.
  • RACF Administration Experience (Userids, RACF User Groups, Resources, KeyRings, etc.).
  • IBM Software Installations (ServerPacs using zOSMF, CBPDO, any related IBM Software product installs and customization).
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and independently as needed.

z/OS Systems Programmer

  • Responsibilities: A z/OS systems programmer is primarily responsible for installing, customizing, and maintaining the z/OS operating system and related software. This role involves tasks such as setting up security privileges, adding programs to system libraries, and ensuring the system's hardware configuration is managed effectively. Systems programmers also handle system upgrades, performance tuning, and troubleshooting complex issues
  • Skills Required: This role requires a deep understanding of the z/OS operating system, system libraries, security, network communications, and clustering of multiple systems. Systems programmers often specialize in specific areas such as CICS, database management, or network system

Job Description

Seeking an experienced zOS systems programmer to join our team in Boulder, Colorado (REMOTE WORK). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to immediately contribute to zOS Mainframe related tasks and projects, utilizing, increasing, and sharing their technical knowledge and skills in mainframe operating systems. This role is for an experienced systems programmer, not an application developer/programmer. The candidate needs to be a systems expert with extensive experience.

Work Environment

This is a part-time position with working hours from Monday to Wednesday, 8am to 5pm MOUNTAIN TIME. While occasional office visits in Boulder, Colorado, are preferred, remote work is acceptable.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $44.90 - $61.90/hr.
