Job Title: Senior Embedded Software Engineer – Linux & Zephyr (Hybrid)

Location: Bangalore, India

Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Embedded Software Engineer with a strong foundation in Linux-based development and Zephyr RTOS. This role requires expertise in system-level programming, device drivers, and open-source software contributions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and integrate embedded software for Linux and Zephyr RTOS-based systems.
• Design and implement low-level software including device drivers and system integration.
• Perform system tuning and boot time optimization.
• Work in safety-critical environments with Functional Safety (FuSa) practices.
• Actively contribute to open-source projects; serve as a developer, reviewer, or maintainer.
• Collaborate within distributed teams using Git-based workflows.
• Support OSS operations (e.g., Steering Committee, Board Member, etc.).

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (OS architecture/System programming focus).
• 5+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Strong experience with:
• Linux system programming and device drivers.
• Zephyr RTOS (mandatory).
• Functional Safety (FuSa) development.
• Git-based distributed code management.
• Active OSS participation (development, code reviews, maintenance).

Nice to Have:

• Leadership in OSS projects (maintainer or committee roles).
• Experience with system security features like secure boot, OTA, etc.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for embedded environments.
