About Us:
Project Impact 180 is a BIPOC-led nonprofit based in North Lawndale, committed to uplifting youth ages 7–17 through mentorship, leadership development, academic support, and career exploration. We believe in safe, culturally affirming spaces that nurture resilience, growth, and self-discovery.
We are currently seeking a passionate Youth Development Program Facilitator to lead engaging, interactive sessions that equip youth with essential life skills, leadership tools, and career readiness. This part-time, contract role is ideal for someone with youth facilitation experience and a deep commitment to mentorship and empowerment.

Key Responsibilities:1. Program Facilitation & Instruction
- Lead dynamic, hands-on workshops for youth (ages 7–24) focused on leadership, career readiness, entrepreneurship, and life skills
- Use culturally responsive and trauma-informed practices to create inclusive, safe learning environments
- Adapt programming to meet the diverse needs of participants
2. Youth Mentorship & Engagement
- Serve as a trusted role model and mentor, encouraging youth to build confidence and resilience
- Support youth in setting personal goals and navigating challenges
- Foster a space where all voices are valued and heard
3. Program Support & Collaboration
- Prepare materials, manage attendance, and collect feedback
- Work closely with staff and other facilitators to ensure high-quality delivery
- Communicate regularly with Project Impact 180 leadership
4. Professionalism & Compliance
- Follow all organizational policies and uphold the values of Project Impact 180
- Be punctual, prepared, and engaged for each session
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
What We’re Looking For:- 2+ years of experience in youth development, teaching, mentoring, or group facilitation
- Strong communication and public speaking skills
- Proven ability to engage and build trust with BIPOC youth
- Familiarity with leadership development, SEL, and workforce readiness topics
- At least 21 years old
- Must pass an Illinois background check
Schedule & Location:- 8–10 hours/week
- Evening or weekend sessions
- In-person facilitation in North Lawndale
- Weekly or bi-weekly programming, depending on schedule
