Position: Working Student Lab Automation Engineer

Duration: Full-time 8h/day, with the possibility to extend

Location: Hybrid in Athens, Greece

As a member of the Nokia’s CMM team, you will be a member of a virtual Test tools (NLG) team, that works on tool development that supports the simulation conditions of network elements and 3GPP protocols to boost the efficiency of testing teams.

Cooperation with other technical experts from all around the world (we collaborate a lot with US, India and Finland) will be part of your everyday work to achieve the committed objectives, leading the evolution to safer 5G networks that our customers worldwide want.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

  • Assist in evaluating and estimating new tasks while providing clear updates on progress and potential challenges.
  • Work closely with technical experts to drive the successful achievement of project goals.
  • Participate in technical discussions with senior engineers, contributing to decision-making on future steps.
  • Enhance and expand the existing automation codebase to meet evolving business needs.
  • Proactively take initiatives and develop new capabilities to enhance system quality.

Key Skills And Experience

Must have:

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field.
  • Proficient in Python or Bash scripting and OS administration.
  • Familiar with Git version control and IP networking configurations.
  • Collaborative and self-motivated, able to work independently in a distributed team.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with virtualization (OpenStack, KVM), containers (Docker, Kubernetes), or cloud (AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Familiar with deployment tools (Jenkins, Ansible) and basic cybersecurity principles.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills in Greek and English.
  • Passionate about contributing to cutting-edge technology and eager to learn and innovate with the latest advancements.
