Job Description

Immediate opening for entry-level position with Downs & Stanford, P.C. located in Austin, TX. This position will handle and prepare new Workers' Compensation cases by organizing medical records and pertinent information for the handling attorney.

Candidates must have exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail. This position requires the candidate to work in-office, five days per week.

Essential Functions

• Review and organize confidential documents and medical records.
• Provide documents and information for attorneys to review.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Prior experience reading medical records preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with a team to meet department goals.
• Ability to work independently on specific tasks.
• Critical thinking skills that display initiative and adaptability.
• Self-motivated, organized, detail oriented, efficient, and hard-working.
• Knowledge of office equipment, basic Word, and Excel.
• Type 40 WPM and Transcription experience preferred
• High School diploma/GED required.
• Able to pass background check required.
• Excellent references required.
• Knowledge of the Division of Workers' Compensation a plus.
