Summary

Position Overview:

The Workday Reporting Analyst is responsible for supporting the Human Resources team by managing and optimizing Workday reports while providing meaningful insights through data analysis. This role focuses on day-to-day report generation, improving reporting efficiencies, and supporting the delivery of data-driven recommendations to support HR decision-making.


Responsibilities:

Workday Report Management & Optimization

  • Develop, maintain, and distribute custom and standard Workday reports to support HR and business users.
  • Continuously review and enhance existing reports to improve efficiency, usability, and accuracy.
  • Organize and catalog reports, ensuring clear documentation and accessibility for stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot reporting issues and proactively recommend improvements.


Data Accuracy, Efficiency & Process Improvement

  • Ensure data integrity by validating report results and collaborating with HRIS and HR teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Streamline report creation and distribution to enhance efficiency in HR operations.
  • Support automation initiatives and best practices for report organization to reduce manual effort.


Analytics & Insights

  • Partner with HR stakeholders to translate business questions into data-driven insights and reporting to support actionable recommendations.
  • Assist in creating dashboards to organize data, enhance storytelling and facilitate better decision-making.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience with Workday reporting tools (Advanced, Matrix, Composite, and Dashboards preferred).
  • Strong skills in report building, data validation, and troubleshooting within Workday.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple reports efficiently.
  • Ability to collaborate with HR, HRIS, and business stakeholders to understand reporting needs.
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas) for additional data analysis.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data trends and present findings clearly.
  • Experience with Workday Calculated Fields


Preferred:

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) for enhanced reporting.
  • Basic understanding of HR processes and metrics to provide meaningful insights.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to improving reporting efficiencies.
