Job Duties :

  • Provides dedicated, daily project leadership and assistance to the project team.
  • Ensures timely and high-quality completion of all work products and deliverables for which the Solution Integrator (SI) is accountable.
  • Facilitates SI team collaboration with their CoVB counterparts for all applicable activities; responsible for cross-team coordination of all resources and activities managed by respective teams. This includes resources, activities, and due dates associated with any 3 rd party resources that are part of the project team.
  • Communicates proactively regarding issues and risk mitigation; ensures transparency and facilitates timely resolution.
  • Provides consistent leadership and best practices advice regarding all project management and governance processes.
  • Navigates dependencies on related enterprise applications that service other functional areas (e.g., ERP, Workforce Management)
  • Ensures scope, schedule, and budget are managed well; any changes proposed are managed tightly through governance for approval or denial.
  • Project Manager will ultimately be responsible for managing all execution aspects of the project including performance, quality of deliverables and successful completion of the engagement.
  • Focused on overall readiness to end or begin each new project phase, as well as impacts to the targeted project go-live.
  • Oversee the completion of weekly status reports.
  • Coordinate with the SI Project Manager to assess and adopt practices to mitigate project risks.
  • Coordinate with other project leads to ensure objectives and timelines are well understood and third-party commitments to the delivery timelines are secured.
  • Coordinate and communicate the schedule and deliverable expectations with other project and interface leads to ensure objectives and timelines are met.
  • Work closely to manage the core project team to monitor the project’s progress and allocate resource assignments consistent with project priorities.
  • Coordinate the publication, review and sign-off of all program deliverables
  • Communicates impacts to the program leadership core team
  • Oversee architecture and development teams responsible for the deployment and release management of developed code and configuration, reports and integrations.
  • Work directly with the SI Project Manager in Maintaining ain the project plan and Risk, Issue, Action, and Dependency (“RAID”) logs. Maintain the vendor relationship between CoVB, Supplier and selected software products.
  • Maintain the vendor relationship between CoVB, Software Supplier and System Integrator Project Team
  • In conjunction with CoVB Program Director, report on progress of the project to Executive Steering Committee, Sponsors and key stakeholders.
  • In conjunction of CoVB Technology Architect, assist with recommendation of approach for management of historical data.
  • In conjunction of CoVB Technology Architect, assist with defining the architectural business intelligence foundation of the program.
  • In conjunction with CoVB Technology Architect, provide direction for the overall technical solution.
  • Coordinate with the Business Manager, Technical and Solution Architect to define and execute cut-over plan for legacy systems.
  • Assist the Business Manager, the Technical and Solutions Architect to provide knowledge of the CoVB legacy systems and processes.
  • Coordinate with the Technical Architect and Conversion Lead to recommend approach for management of historical data.
  • Coordinate publication, review and sign-off of major program deliverables.
  • Drive the completion of weekly status reports.
  • Ensure project plans and schedules are maintained, deliverables tracked effectively, and resource utilization is managed according to plan.
  • Coordinate activities to meet defined quality objectives.
  • Assist with managing and updating project risks, issues and change control.
  • Communicating impacts to program leadership core team.
  • Monitor deliverables against time, budget and quality standards.

Additional Information:

  • The city uses HP ALM for quality and test management. Experience with HP ALM is highly desired.
  • Weekly status reports to the project leadership and others, as identified.
  • The City uses PlanView/Innotas to track project tasks and to record daily time expended on each activity.
  • Knowledge of and experience with multiple implementation methodologies including Agile so to align well with the selected integrator and the agreed upon project approach.
  • Successful candidates will have applicable professional certifications, preferably PMPs.

Funding/Duration:

  • The duration of this resource is anticipated to be through March 2026. Ongoing project planning may adjust the timeframe in either direction based on project progress. The implementation timeline will include a phased implementation and a six-month post implementation period of stabilization and support.
