Develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs. Analyzes results and performs design reviews. Leads the team to analyze results and performs design reviews. Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests). Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities. Develops complex statements of work, metrics, schedules and budgets. Performs technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection. Works under minimal direction.
The Oklahoma City Electrical Design Group is seeking an entry to experienced Electrical Wire Design and Installation Engineer to support International Air force customers in Oklahoma City, OK.
The candidate will provide engineering, such as Design modifications for electrical designs and/or installs for a team supporting military programs such as UK E-7, Saudi Arabia, and India.
Candidate must also have the ability to independently determine and develop approaches to solutions in this role. The expectation is to be able to represent the organization by providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.
Position Responsibilities
Responsible for understanding and implementing technical standards of cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs.
Implement electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs.
Work with lead and team to analyze complex results and performs design reviews.
Provide engineering design disposition on discrepancies.
Independently utilize processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities.
Support the technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.
Ability to adjust priorities to multiple demands and unanticipated events.
Highly motivated and must work well in a team environment.
The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
