Summary

Windows Server Administrator L2


Location : Only Pune

Must Have: L2 Experience in Windows Administration, Hyper V Management, Failover CLuster, Troubleshooting, Vmware Infra.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Server Management: Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server OS on hardware & VM. Also handle hardware failures.

2. Troubleshooting & Incident Management: Resolve hardware/software issues, manage system outages, and minimize downtime.

3. Virtualization Support (Hyper-V): Manage Hyper-V virtual environments, including VM creation, configuration, and resource allocation.

4. Failover Clustering: Manage and support Windows Server Failover Clustering to ensure high availability and redundancy of applications.

5. Storage Spaces Direct (S2D): Administer and configure Storage Spaces Direct for high-performance and scalable storage solutions.

6. Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor system performance, including Hyper-V clusters, S2D storage health, and failover clusters, VMs.

7. VMware Administrator: Manage, configure, and maintain VMware ESXi hosts, vCenter, virtual machines, vMotion, HA, DRS, storage solutions.

7. Print Server, File Server, RDS, P2V, V2V, Hyper-V Replication, support for physical Service location.

8. Collaboration & Documentation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain accurate documentation for system configurations.

9. Patch Management & Updates: Apply security patches and updates to Windows Server, Hyper-V, and related systems & health checks.

10. Understanding of network security systems, intrusion detection systems, and data backup solutions.


Qualification:

1) Bachelor’s degree with 5 to 6 yrs hands on experience in Windows administration

2) Understanding of network security systems, intrusion detection systems, and data backup solutions.

3) Analytical and problem-solving skills: The ability to analyse issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions is critical for a Windows Server Administrator.

4) Communication skills: Clear communication is essential, as Administrators often need to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with various teams.
