Summary
Job Summary – Windows Server Admin (Abbott Park IL)
Administer and manage VMware ESXi, Vcenter, and HCI systems (especially Nutanix, VxRail, Powerflex).
Maintain and troubleshoot Windows Server environments (2003–2022).
Perform extensive troubleshooting for Windows OS and server performance issues.
Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, Terminal Services, and Windows Failover Clusters.
Administer HP C 7000 chassis, rack, and blade servers (all generations).
Monitor server operations (CPU, memory, space utilization) and address performance issues.
Recommend, plan, and implement software, firmware, and OS upgrades/patches.
Collaborate with engineering, network, storage, application teams, and business stakeholders for support and troubleshooting.
Evaluate current environments and suggest improvements for technical direction.
Install, configure, and maintain disaster recovery solutions.
Experience with Blade Logic, Ansible, ServiceNow, and Big Panda is a plus.
Nutanix experience is mandatory; VxRail and Powerflex knowledge is an advantage.
VMware Certified Professional and MCITP/MCSE certifications required.
Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience.
