Factory Direct Windows & Doors is seeking a dedicated and experienced Window Measure & Inspection Technician / Team Lead to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our window and door installations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for measuring, inspecting, and overseeing installation projects, as well as managing light warehouse duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurate Measurements: Conduct detailed and precise measurements of windows and doors at job sites. Ensure that all measurements align with project specifications and customer expectations.
Inspection & Quality Control: Perform inspections of installed windows and doors to ensure they meet our high standards of quality and accuracy. Identify any issues and coordinate necessary adjustments.
Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to installation teams, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and to the company’s standards. Assist in training new technicians and installers.
Warehouse Management: Oversee the organization, inventory, and maintenance of warehouse materials and supplies. Ensure that all products are properly stored and ready for use.
Supply Runs: Deliver necessary materials and supplies to job sites, ensuring installation teams have everything they need to complete their tasks.
Customer Interaction: Engage with customers during the measurement and inspection process, answering any questions and addressing concerns to ensure complete satisfaction.
Meet with Inspectors: Coordinate and meet with inspectors at job sites to ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
Light Repairs & Installation: Perform minor repairs and assist with small installation jobs as needed. Ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Driving: Safely operate company vehicles to transport supplies and travel to various job sites. Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all traffic laws.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in window and door installation, measurement, and inspection. Experience in a leadership or team lead role is preferred.
Detail-Oriented: Ability to conduct precise measurements and inspections, with strong attention to detail in both field and warehouse tasks.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using measurement tools, inspection equipment, and basic repair tools.
Warehouse Experience: Familiarity with warehouse operations, including inventory management, product handling, and logistics.
Communication & Leadership: Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively guide and support team members.
Customer Service: Ability to interact professionally with customers, providing clear explanations and ensuring a positive experience.
Driving Record: A clean driving record is required, as you will be responsible for driving to various job sites and running supplies.
Physical Ability: Ability to lift and handle heavy materials such as windows and doors, and perform physically demanding tasks related to both warehouse management and installations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience as a team lead or supervisor in a related field.
Familiarity with a wide range of window and door products.
Notary Public certification (or willingness to obtain one with company assistance).
