Pay Range: $24-$35/hr (Depending on Experience)

Position Summary:
A Wind Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of wind turbines at various sites. Will work closely with a team of technicians and engineers to troubleshoot issues, perform regular inspections, and carry out preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wind turbines
· Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
· Replace and repair turbine components as needed
· Conduct thorough inspections of wind turbines and associated equipment
· Test electrical systems and mechanical components to ensure proper operation
· Document and report findings to the site manager and maintenance team
· Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
· Review JHA (Job Hazard Analysis) while observing any crew on site
· Comply with local, state, and federal regulations regarding wind turbine operations
· Participate in safety training sessions and emergency response drills
· Provide technical support to onsite personnel and other wind technicians
· Collaborate with engineering teams to improve turbine performance and reliability
· Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance strategies and procedures
· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and inventory levels
· Prepare detailed reports on turbine performance, maintenance activities, and safety incidents
· Use computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track and document work
· Willingness to travel extensively, often on short notice, to various wind turbine sites
· Flexibility to stay on-site for extended periods during maintenance projects
· Must be able to work nights and weekends
· Must possess valid driver’s license
Qualifications:
· Education:
o High school diploma or GED required
o Technical or vocational training in wind energy or related field a plus
o Current GWO certification
· Certifications/Licenses:
o US Passport (REQUIRED)
· Experience:
o Minimum of 2 years experience working with wind turbines
o Experience with troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical systems
o Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
o Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and maintenance equipment
o Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
o Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
o Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
o Certifications in electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic systems a plus
