Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented LOTO Wind Turbine Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of wind turbines, performing routine maintenance tasks, non-routine maintenance tasks and conducting repairs when necessary. The technician will be required to work at heights and in harsh environmental conditions, and must be comfortable with physical labor and mechanical tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and experience working with high-voltage equipment.
Duties:
- Perform LOTO for the maintenance teams tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of wind turbines, including inspecting and replacing components as needed.
- Conduct repairs and troubleshooting of wind turbines, including electrical and mechanical systems.
- Use power tools and hand tools to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to diagnose and repair issues.
- Work safely at heights and in harsh environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures and wind speeds.
- Conduct high-voltage testing and maintenance as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with National Electric Code (NEC) and other relevant safety standards.
- Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to ensure the successful completion of projects and meet safety and quality standards.
Requirements:
- Certified GE 2X LOTO Technician
- GWO Winda ID #
- Ability to climb and work at heights.
- GWO BST/ART/BLS
- Familiarity with low-voltage systems and electrical safety protocols.
- Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC) and other relevant safety standards.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and climbing.
- Ability to work in harsh environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures and wind speeds.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or degree in a related field preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.04 - $25.15 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
