General Description:
The Business Operations Associate is the decision-enabler for Operations Senior Managers and Directors. You solve key challenges, work across departments, and ensure the information needed to make sound decisions is available. You are responsible for the evaluation of the department’s processes and metrics, identification of areas of improvement, and generation of plans for implementation. Additionally, you will assist the Director of Wind Operations in the optimization and maintenance of the Wind Operations Operating Model which includes meeting structures, the OKR (or similar) process, and reporting on key objectives. It is necessary for you to be a self-starter who interfaces well horizontally and vertically across the organization to ensure the success of projects in the Department. This position will be on a hybrid work schedule, working three days in the office and two days at home.
Main Accountabilities:
Establish a structure and cadence of program and function reviews to increase visibility, drive alignment, and reduce blockers
Develop and utilize frameworks to help structure team thinking and alignment – the creation of a common “performance language”
Leads and assists the development of change management and business transformation efforts in the Wind Ops group
Creates opportunities in the business ecosystem by interfacing within Asset Operations and across other departments
Builds consensus among cross-functional teams and influences the decision-making of leadership audiences
Gather and analyze data, formulate, and test hypotheses, synthesize findings, and develop implementation plans to translate recommendations into results
Manage a central repository of processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Identify and implement new initiatives within the department
Author, manage, and deliver executive-level status reports
Lead the creation, identification, and tracking of metrics to improve business performance in the group as well as inform actions
Explore new business and operation models throughout the industry to maintain a current view of best practices and improvement opportunities.
Network at all levels within the Asset Operations department and to the Director level in stakeholder departments
Interface with external customers, investors, and suppliers

Minimum qualifications:
BS/BA – Technical Field Preferred
5+ Experience with LEAN processes and business optimization
1+ years of relevant experience in wind energy or a related industry
Ability to manage projects across business units (PMP certification or similar preferred)
Experience with wind power plant operations and maintenance
Ability and willingness to travel to operational sites within the US as needed
Must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Advanced skills in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise.
Experience managing cross-functional projects or teams
Behavioral requirements:

Ability to work around low, medium, and high-voltage equipment
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Physical demands & working conditions:
Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to frequently perform physical tasks including standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching approximately 75% of the time while on solar farm sites; ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment
Speech/Reading: Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or scheduled form
Vision/Hearing: Ability to interpret and follow a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
Tolerance to Extreme Weather Conditions: Ability to work in adverse weather conditions 25% of the time while on wind farm sites
Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
