Position Summary
The Financial Wellness Team is seeking a Program Coordinator to oversee the implementation of several financial wellness programs, including our current financial coaching, savings, credit-building and small dollar loan programs. This person also supports the implementation of other financial wellness programs, including Benefits and Emergency Assistance.
Primary Duties/ Responsibilities
Program Design
Stay up to date on latest research (e.g., behavioral economics, human insights, financial literacy research) and best practices (other programs and practices)
Seek input from current and prospective participants and key stakeholders before, during, and after program design
Periodically review and update program design based on research and program evaluation data, including participant and stakeholder feedback, to make sure programs are effective
Program Implementation
Collaborate with Volunteer Engagement Team to select and train Volunteer Financial Coaches, then provide ongoing support to volunteers around program delivery, data collection and volunteer policies
Collaborate with the Community Service Specialists to manage logistics of both in-person and virtual one-on-one Financial Coaching, including scheduling and coach/client communications
Conduct outreach to prospective participants (FC residents and priority populations from the general community); in collaboration with Outreach Coordinator, FC staff, and staff at partner agencies
Enroll eligible participants, ensuring that both virtual and in-person enrollment options are available
Coordinate effective in-person or virtual delivery for group financial wellness activities, including training volunteer activity leaders and managing logistics such as registration, space, childcare, materials and technology, as needed.
Program Evaluation
Collect data & enter it in program database, Efforts to Outcomes (ETO)
With the Prosper Data Team, ensure data collection and reporting tools are in place for collecting and reporting data about:
Participant feedback (customer satisfaction)
Financial Wellness indicators
Goal progress
Participation in classes or workshops
Financial transactions (transactions in savings program accounts, emergency assistance provided, incentives provided, etc.)
Pull reports as needed for program evaluation and reporting to internal and external stakeholders (e.g., grant funders)
Use data to determine what aspects are working well, what aspects aren't working as intended, and unmet needs among program participants
Minimum Requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to develop innovative ideas that address identified client needs
Ability to provide compassionate, trauma-informed care to community members from diverse backgrounds
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Office 365
Preferred Requirements
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Experience in program coordination or experience in social work or case management
Working Conditions
General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
Physical Requirements
Position requires sitting with extensive keyboard use and will include carrying materials and supplies for in-person event setup.
Compensation
$25.00/hour
