Position Overview The Division of Early Childhood (DEC) is seeking to hire a dynamic, organized, and detailed-oriented employee to serves as the Information Coordinator for assigned program areas within the Bureau of Communication's Web Page Information Unit. This position collaborates with DoIT to identify, report, and resolve information issues within assigned area; plans, organizes, and conducts extensive internal Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) reviews of assigned program areas to analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of related webpages content/information (i.e., easy to understand and navigate), accessibility, and interactive features; represents the Administrator and/or Unit Manager at internal and external meetings, conferences, and retreats; and participates in activities that advance the DEC/Strategic Plan and DEC/Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Racial Justice Plan, using a trauma-informed and an equity lens in the support of DEC program and operational outcomes and objectives. DEC is one of six divisions within the Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS). DEC serves to strengthen and centralize Child Care, Early Intervention, Home Visiting, and Migrant and Seasonal Head Start within DHS. The DEC vision is for Illinois' pregnant persons, young children, and families to have the supports they need to achieve their full potential. Essential Functions * Serves as the Statewide Web Page Information Coordinator for the Early Intervention, Home Visiting, and Collaboration and Partnership Bureaus. * Collaborates with Unit Manager and DoIT to enhance the DEC assigned areas webpage presence and stakeholder engagement. * Plans and organizes extensive Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) reviews of assigned DEC program area webpage information. * Represents the Administrator and/or Unit Manager at internal and external meetings, conferences, retreats, and/or workgroups. * Participates in activities that advance the DEC/Strategic Plan and DEC/Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Racial Justice Plan, using a trauma-informed and an equity lens in the support of DEC program and operational outcomes and objectives. * Participates in training as necessary to strengthen both staff and the Division. * Performs other duties as assigned or required, which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above. Minimum Qualifications * Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with courses in business or public administration. * Requires two (2) years of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization. Specialized Skills * Of the two (2) years of professional experience, requires two (2) years of experience with developing, maintaining, and analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of various information (content) on a public or private organization's webpages/sites, using different web software (e.g., Content Analytics Tools, Customer Analytics Tools,) while developing, implementing, monitoring, modifying, and evaluating a multifaceted plan to ensure webpage compliance with the American with Disabilities Act, Illinois Information Technology Accessibility Act, Illinois Information Technology Accessibility Act, and other related standards and requirements. Preferred Qualifications * Two (2) years of experience with developing, maintaining, and analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of various information (content) on a public or private organization's webpages/sites, using different web software (e.g., Content Analytics Tools, Customer Analytics Tools,) while developing, implementing, monitoring, modifying, and evaluating a multifaceted plan to ensure webpage compliance with the American with Disabilities Act, Illinois Information Technology Accessibility Act, Illinois Information Technology Accessibility Act, and other related standards and requirements. * Two (2) years of professional experience developing, implementing, monitoring, modifying, and evaluating a multifaceted plan to ensure webpage compliance with the American with Disabilities Act, Illinois Information Technology Accessibility Act, Illinois Information Technology Accessibility Act, and other related standards and requirements for a private or public organization. * Two (2) years of professional experience in communicating (orally and in writing) in a clear and concise manner with diverse stakeholders, using technology-based communications. * Two (2) years of professional experience demonstrating basic knowledge of the use of graphs, charts, and/or maps [e.g., two-dimensional and/or Arc Geographic Information Systems (GIS). * Two (2) years of professional experience in exercising a high degree of initiative and independent judgement in developing and implementing policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines regarding the maintenance of a social services website. * Two (2) years of professional experience in demonstrating strong organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving skills, and is detailed-oriented.
