IS&T is looking for a creative individual who can produce engaging marketing materials for the web and print formats. Responsible for designing and managing IS&T's website to promote academic programs, research, and college initiatives. Create design assets for marketing campaigns, brochures, reports, events, and other communication efforts for the college and its units/programs. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators for web pages and marketing campaigns. Collaborate with student success and academic units to design recruitment materials, coordinate and promote events, and manage branding efforts. Manage the college's social media strategy to increase brand awareness, drive engagement, and support marketing efforts.
Job Duties
Responsibility Area: Design & Manage IS&T Website Duties:
* Design assets for online and print marketing, recruitment, reports, social media, and communications efforts.
* Plan and execute social media campaigns, promotions, and contests to boost student engagement and IS&T visibility (LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Instagram, etc.)
* Coordinate logistics and design promotional materials for events.
* Support IS&T events by obtaining photo releases from students and work with the university's Marketing Communications unit to secure photography for events.
* Regularly analyze marketing trends and develop strategies to ensure content, campaigns, and engagement is innovative and relevant.
* Launch and manage social media advertising and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights).
* Operate and manage platforms like Cascade, HubSpot, LucidPress, Canva, and Adobe to create, design, and maintain website content and marketing assets.
* Coordinate with UNO's MarComm or Freelancer unit for the writing of IS&T stories
Percentage Of Time 80 Essential Function: Yes Responsibility Area: Strategic Planning & Collaboration; Analyze Results and Effectiveness Duties:
* Develop a strategic plan for the college's promotion efforts
* Coordinate with UNO's marketing communications and external parties for photography, freelancer writers, and students to promote the college in its multiple initiatives and events.
* Manage students, if needed.
* Serve on committees as necessary, including the University Marketing Communications unit
* Monitor Google Analytics and social media statistics to examine the effectiveness of our promotion efforts and report data to leadership. Participate in brainstorming for strategy adjustment (as needed) with the executive committee
* Update promotion plans based on results.
