For over three decades Matrix Software has built software solutions in the insurance industry as well as custom web software. We have a nimble design and development team located in Bryan, Texas that serve clients all over the country. We are looking for a web developer to join our growing team. You will work on our core web apps by leading projects and developing other team members. You will design and architect solutions, while delegating and reviewing team member’s work. You will be relied on for your expertise in finding the right solution and implementing it efficiently. You are self-motivated and capable of working individually to meet deadlines and able to manage several projects. You are able to write code in backend web programming languages and are able to quickly adjust to working within existing systems. Remote working is NOT available. All applicants must be willing to relocate. Pay is commensurate with experience. Responsibilities: Work with the development team to develop robust, scalable web applications. Help create and architect solutions while ensuring efficient delivery. Understand and maintain existing web applications as well as assisting with creating best practices and patterns. Work with team members to clarify goals, develop solutions and implement applications (end-to-end, concept to delivery). Keep up to date with web development trends. Essential requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering, or commensurate experience. Experience in a professional software development role. Proficiency in web programming languages, specifically C#. Additional programming languages are a bonus. Proficiency in SQL Server and/or MySQL and relational data structures. Proficiency in HTML and JavaScript. Adequate CSS and responsive web design knowledge. Experiencing in working with team members. Experience with working on large scale projects and estimating timelines and schedules. A portfolio of web development and/or list of projects worked on. Why Work Here?
