This position performs a variety of duties in support of the college¿s web-based applications. This position will work closely with Information Technology to develop effective web content in support of the educational mission of the college.
This position is at our Floyd Campus
Responsibilities
Is responsible to understand, support, and carry out the college¿s mission, vision, and values and comply with mandates and regulations of government and accrediting bodies.
Designs, creates, and implements web-based applications that deliver consistent and appropriate content in support of the marketing strategies of the college
Develops and supports relational database systems, custom web applications, and various scripts
Adds, updates, and removes content on college websites
Assists faculty and staff with web development and posting of web content
Assists in designing web graphics
Performs related duties
Required Qualifications
Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field
Two years of relevant front- and back-end website development experience including the following concepts, programming languages, and software packages: Linux server operating systems, Apache, MySQL, MariaDB, SQL, HTML, HTML5, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, Python, Perl, AJAX, XML, and Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
Relevant front- and back-end experience with an open source content management system
Strong background in website design and development
Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver¿s license for the type of vehicle or equipment operated
Proposed Salary
The annual salary for this position is $69,680
This is a fully benefitted position and is a position of trust.
This position does not have supervisory responsibility for others.
This position reports to the Chief Information Technology Officer
