About The Role

This is a dynamic, multi-disciplinary role that blends graphic design, UI/UX, and front-end development. The ideal candidate is a hands-on generalist who thrives in an environment with changing priorities, is a self-starter, and can handle a wide variety of digital design and development responsibilities.

We’re looking for someone who can adapt quickly, pivot across projects, and independently manage tasks.

Key Attributes

  • Able to work autonomously while staying aligned with broad goals.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, stop-and-go workflows with evolving priorities.
  • Strong practical experience with HTML/CSS/JS, WordPress and Responsive Design
  • Skilled in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, with a design portfolio that reflects real-world applications.
  • Excellent communicator who can document clearly and stay collaborative.
  • Demonstrates a strong personal portfolio with work featured in publications or industry presentations.

Typical Responsibilities

  • Graphic Design: Create assets like logos, infographics, ads, web graphics and HTML emails for high-visibility fintech campaigns.
  • UI/UX Design: Design user interfaces and user flows with an emphasis on clarity and usability—not theoretical UX work, but practical design.
  • Front-End Development: Build responsive layouts, landing pages, and basic UI components in HTML/CSS/JS.
  • Wireframing & Prototyping: Develop high-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes ready for development handoff.
  • Ad Hoc Tasks: You may be called on to fix a WordPress layout, polish up a dashboard design, or draft a quick promotional banner—all in the same day.

Skills & Attributes

  • Problem Solver: Comfortable tackling unclear problems with incomplete info.
  • Self-Starter: Works well independently and doesn’t wait for someone to assign a task.
  • Detail-Oriented: Pays attention to brand, layout, and functional design.
  • Communicator: Can present ideas clearly in writing and in conversation.
  • Agile-Friendly: Familiarity with Scrum and iterative development is helpful, but the ability to adapt matters more.

Experience & Education Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant post-education, professional experience in graphic or web design, UX/UI, or front-end dev.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop for real, user-facing projects—not just academic.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility (WCAG 2.2), and design systems.
  • Experience with fintech or regulated industries is a strong plus.
  • Clear documentation and case studies of conversion-focused, user-centered design work are preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Must be physically present and working onsite in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands.
  • Infrequent travel, if any.
  • Daily work involves both independent focus time and team collaboration.
  • Office environment with moderate noise level.
