ASP.Net Developer East Tennessee Research facility is seeking an ASP.Net Web Application Developer to provide application development and maintenance services for projects related to the government sector. The position is responsible for the development, maintenance, testing and on-going support of enterprise level solutions. Major Duties This position will act as the primary analyst for the implementation and support of web applications application written in ASP.NET applications written in C#. The successful candidate must be a highly motivated, self-starter who is comfortable working as part of a team (in any capacity) or as an independent contributor. The candidate must demonstrate a strong customer focus and excellent written and verbal communications skills. A desire to continuously improve technical skills and identify opportunities where development tools meeting ORNL Standards may be used in place of non-standard tools is expected. Qualifications Demonstrated professional experience with the following: Direct enterprise level experience with the .NET framework in C# Experience with .NET Framework (4+). Experience with ASP.NET Web Forms and MVC applications Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Experience with using relational databases (e.g. Oracle, MSSQL) Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio. Experience facilitating, gathering and documenting user requirements through application design sessions with business customers. Excellent communication, organizational skills, time management and problem solving abilities. Education/Experience: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with relevant experience, or 2. Associates degree in Computer Science with 2 years of relevant experience. While not required, the following qualifications are desired. Experience using Microsoft Team Foundation Server. Experience with HTML5, AJAX, and jQuery. Experience with MS SQL Server 2012 (or later) Experience in the design, planning & implementation phases as well as support of enterprise level n-tier distributed applications.
