The Web Development Intern performs a variety of web development-related tasks to help improve Cleveland Metroparks systems. The Web Development Intern’s understanding of web development paradigms and core computer science concepts are applied to improving and upgrading a variety of systems and processes across the Cleveland Metroparks organization.

Essential Functions:

1. Regular and predictable attendance is expected and required. All Cleveland Metroparks employees must be prepared to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as required.


2. Meets with staff to complete requirements gathering and project planning


3. Contributes to data and business intelligence projects.


4. Contributes to web design and development using technologies supported in a Microsoft-stack environment


5. Performs testing, deployment, and support of new and existing applications with full-time development staff


6. Contributes content updates to the public website, employee portal, and potentially other digital exhibits or products


7. Keeps direct supervisor promptly informed of key/significant issues or concerns.


8. Carries out duties and responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner to maintain a safe work environment and surrounding area for oneself, co-workers and public. Responds to hazardous situations and/or potentially unsafe conditions by taking corrective action as capable and promptly notifying supervisory personnel.


9. Performs related duties as assigned or apparent.
